When you want to play in the kitchen and are looking for ideas, you want a recipe now. not have to scroll through page after page just to get to the actual recipe. Soooo to keep this short we are trying to keep it simple.
For every egg, use three slices of Brioche bread:
- Add 1/3 C cream or milk
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 TBSP butter
To assemble: Mix all ingredient, dip bread in batter. Place butter in pan. When melted, but not to the burning point, add French toast. Then cook ’til you can’t stand waiting any longer, and flip them on a plate. I grew up putting a pat of butter on top of ready-to-eat bread, letting it melt, and then pouring your favorite maple syrup on top, with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. BUT, I grew up and now top my french toast with a mixture of peanut butter and syrup mixed together…..and sometimes have an extra sweet tooth and add a little more syrup. 😋
